Originally from Oxfordshire, Sensei Michelle was schooled at Wheatley Park where sport was a huge passion for her where she had much success in Hockey and cross-country at school level. Upon leaving school, Sensei Michelle enrolled at Oxford College and gained a national diploma in hairdressing. Following college Sensei Michelle started her own business in the hairdressing industry before becoming a mum to 3 children. Sensei Michelle then trained in special needs and took these skills in to schools where she spent considerable time in both pre-school and primary school education.
At the age of 39 Sensei Michelle took the decision to try martial arts having watched her daughter become so involved in it. Little did she know at that time what a life changing decision it would be? Sensei Michelle is now a full time instructor with OSTMA and the driving force behind our Tiny Turtles programme.
Achievements and Experience: 2nd Dan Karate black belt, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Purple belt, CRB checked, Insured and First Aid qualified, Kata bronze medalist, British Open BJJ bronze medallist, Hereford Open BJJ Bronze and Silver medallist, Regular participant of “Race for life” – Something very close to her heart!
Personal Goals: “To offer all my child education knowledge and experience to as many children as possible. To continue to inspire ladies of all ages to make a life changing decision to join and follow this same wonderful pathway that I have which has offered and added so many great new aspects to my life!”
