Sensei Henry Partlett began his Karate journey in 2011 at just six years old, and what started as a childhood passion has grown into a lifelong commitment to martial arts. Over the years, Henry has trained consistently, typically three to four times a week, developing a reputation for his impressive flexibility, dynamic kicking techniques, discipline, and dedication to continuous improvement.

His competitive journey has been a major part of his development as a martial artist. Henry has achieved medals at both British and national level competitions and competed across Europe in destinations including Berlin, Croatia, Luxembourg, and Venice. These experiences have not only strengthened his skills as a competitor but have also given him valuable insight into the dedication, resilience, and mindset required to perform at the highest level.

Henry achieved his Black Belt at the age of 15 and soon began assisting with classes, discovering a passion for coaching and helping others develop their own martial arts skills. Today, he proudly leads his own classes and plays a key role within the club's competition squad, supporting students as they work towards their own goals.

As a coach, Henry is particularly passionate about developing young martial artists, helping them build confidence, discipline, technical ability, and a positive competitive mindset. He works closely with members of the competition squad to help them prepare for tournaments, pursue national-level opportunities, and ultimately work towards their ambition of representing the National Team.

Henry believes that martial arts should be challenging, rewarding, and enjoyable. His coaching approach combines the high standards and traditional values of martial arts with a fun, encouraging, and supportive atmosphere where every student can learn, progress, and achieve their potential.

His mission is to continue the high standard of martial arts education that OSTMA is known for while inspiring the next generation of martial artists to set ambitious goals, embrace challenges, and enjoy every step of their journey.
