Nathan Hunt started karate with Sensei Phil Patrick in Heyford park community centre. When he joined OSTMA with his younger brother they both loved and enjoyed classes very much. Both Nathan and his brother progressed quickly and were dedicated to practising at home and working to their next grade. However, after a couple of years of training, Nathan was the only sibling to stick with karate and soon realised this was something he was very passionate about. Asking to compete and help in classes with the younger ages he became a assistant. Helping twice a week and training twice a week in his local class Nathan started competing at competitions locally and nationally, even competing over in Ireland at 17. Not winning and taking many medals home Nathan stuck with competing until he started winning. Bronze, silver and gold. Nathan enjoyed travelling to competitions and being apart of a competition squad. Taking his black belt at the age of 21 he realised he wanted to become a Sensei himself and successfully started up his own classes. Nathan feels extremely proud of producing his first black belt student 4 years ago.Nathan is a very dedicated Sensei who believes that improving levels of well-being for students through Martial Arts will have a positive impact on academic achievement, cognitive functioning, behaviour, concentration and self esteem.Contact Sensei Nathan

What people say about sensei Nathan
My son trains with Sensei Nathan and has struggled with confidents in the past. Since training with Sensei Nathan I have seen a change in him with school and general day to day life. He loves karate and looks forward to the sessions and always comes back on on a high. Thanks to Sensei Nathan.
Sensei Nathan’s class is fun and packed full of energy. He’s got control and structure to his classes and has 100% respect from all of the kids. Thanks for teaching my kids.
